Media Release: Luxury Vehicle Donated to SLC Automotive Service Technician Program

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news. Recently, our very own Travis Royle, Team Leader and Broker of Record, made a significant contribution to the Automotive Service Technician program at St. Lawrence College (SLC) that we couldn’t be prouder of.

Travis, donated his 2008 Maserati Quattroporte Executive GT to SLC’s Cornwall campus. This luxury vehicle will serve as a vital tool for students in their hands-on training, providing opportunities to learn the intricacies of diagnosing and maintaining high-end vehicles.

A Heartfelt Tribute

But this donation is more than just a gift; it’s a tribute. Travis shared a heartfelt sentiment: “The car will be missed. It was a tribute to my uncle Mark Beggs as he used to let me drive his Maserati when I was young. I’m happy that the school will get great use out of it and hopefully inspire young minds.” This personal connection adds an extra layer of significance to the donation.

Driving Change

Why did Travis choose SLC for this meaningful donation? Travis’s wife, Pamela, is an alumna of SLC, having graduated from the Behavioural Science Technology program in 2007. The connection to SLC runs in their family, and this gift represents their appreciation for the institution and its impact on their lives.

We’re also incredibly proud to see the enthusiasm and gratitude from St. Lawrence College. Glenn Vollebregt, President and CEO of SLC, expressed his appreciation for our donation, recognizing the immense value it will bring to their Automotive Service Technician program. This acknowledgment reinforces our belief that partnerships between industry and education can truly drive positive change.

In lieu of the traditional plaque, SLC recognized and celebrated this unique gift-in-kind with a vanity license plate.

Giving Gratitude

At the donation ceremony, attended by representatives from SLC, including Aidan Wornes, Saifullah Sanaye, and Jessica Kostuck, the excitement was palpable. Instead of a traditional plaque, SLC chose to commemorate this unique gift with a vanity license plate, symbolizing the fusion of luxury and learning, innovation and tradition. It’s a testament to the innovative spirit of both our team and SLC.

Reflecting on this milestone moment, we’re filled with gratitude for the opportunity to make a difference. It’s moments like these that remind us of the power we have to shape the future, not just in real estate but in education and beyond. We’re honoured to be part of a community that values giving back and investing in the next generation.

Here’s to driving change, one donation at a time.
